Corinda Mae Moore, the daughter of the late Levi and Merelia Steward Robinson was born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 1, 1923. She was one of seven siblings born to this union. She departed this earthly life and entered life eternal on Friday, July 6, 2012.

Her childhood was spent in Wetipquin where she attended the Wicomico County Public Schools; including the former Wetipquin Elementary and Salisbury High Schools, where she participated in track and field. She was one of the top 100 meter runners in the State of Maryland. Her track and field participation was cut short, due to a heart problem.

Corinda married John Emery Moore March 30, 1942. From this union came Levi, Milton and Vera Moore Price. Corinda received her early Christian education at Friendship United Methodist Church in Wetipquin. She was invaluable in several ministries at Friendship Church. She served on the Usher board, was a member of both the Senior Choir and the Starlight Gospel Singers.

Corinda was known for her love of cooking. In the kitchen she was at her best, making sweet potato pies, cakes, bread pudding, jams, jelly and her special pepper relish, which was well known. Her pepper relish was well traveled to several states including, Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania and all over Maryland.

Precious memories will be cherished by her sons, Levin (Patricia) Moore of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Milton (Rena) Moore of upper Marlboro, MD; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Louise Young of Chester, PA; two sister-in-laws, Olivia Thompson of Churchton, MD and Anna (Phillip) Camper of Philadelphia, PA; adopted daughters, Cherry Watlers and Stephanie Hird and Victoria Taylor-Jones; adopted son, Melvin Seldon; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, John E. Moore, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, three brothers and two sisters. A funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11:00 am at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Rd, Salisbury, MD. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and Friday, July 13, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Rd., Salisbury, MD.
