Linda Desaline Mitchell was born on 02/02/54 to Pearline Wionola Mitchell of Wetipquin and the late James Lober Mitchell. Linda and her son, Kevin, were called home to glory of 06/20/98 at 6:00 a.m. as a result of a car accident.

Linda attended schools in Wicomico County and graduated from James M. Bennett High School in 1972. In addition, she graduated from the Delmarva Beauty Academy. She was employed by Maryland Material Center for five years and for Peninsular Regional Medical Center as an Admitting Officer for the past 20 years.

She was a member of the Faith Christain Full Gospel Baptist Church where she served as a missionary, member of the choir, Praise & Worship Team, youth ministry, and food ministry. It was her heart's desire to meet the needs of hurting people. Linda was an exhorter, server, a giver, and a worshiper. Linda early christian experience was a t Friendship United Methodist Church where she held several offices. She was a member of the church choir and sang with her family choir, the Wings of Faith. She served her home church faithfully for many years.

Linda also served on the Board of Directors of the Wetipquin Community Development Club and was the treasurer for the Mitchell Family Reunion. Linda's deisre was to help make people happny. She enjoyed spending time with God in her special prayer room. Even on here job, in her free time, shewould praise and worship God in the chapel with her co-workers. Whenever there was a problem with family or friends, she would often come to church and join the intercessory prayer team to lift up the church and pastors in prayer. She loved her church family. Her greastest dersire was that her family be saved. Linda had a special bond with her sons, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter.

In addition to her mother, she leaves to mourn: one son and daughter-in-law, Graig L.  and Keisha L. Mitchell of Laurel, Maryland; five brothers, James A. and Jerome R. Mitchell of Salisbury, Maryland, Ronald T. Mitchell of Silver Spring, Maryland, David E. Mitchell of Baltimore, Maryland, and Bryant C. Mitchell of Clemson, South Carolina. one granddaughter, Japria Monique Mitchell; an ost of uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
